Cream Cheese and Chives Toast

A simple fun snack.

Remember to wash your hands thoroughly!

Serves: 2


  • 2 slices wholemeal bread
  • 40g cream cheese
  • A handful fresh chives

You will also need:

  • An apron
  • A heart (or any other shaped) cutter
  • A small plastic bowl
  • A knife
  • A pair of children’s scissors
  • A teaspoon


  1. Toast the bread.
  2. Cut out heart shape in centre of toast.
  3. Put the cream cheese into the bowl and snip the washed chives into the cheese.
  4. Mix the cream cheese and chives together.
  5. Spoon the mixture into the centre of the toast and smooth over with a knife.
  6. Arrange with the cut out hearts onto a plate.

Dip your toast hearts into the dip.

  1. So cute and simple! I will need to do this for the boys (or just for myself!) . I love using shape cutters with food, makes them look great when you make cite food crafts, my cutting skills a just not as good.
